Train Up

Recently this is something that's come to my attention several times. My husband excels in this area, but I need to make some changes...

Training a child starts at birth, and covers every area of life, throughout life. Kids need more than just a physical home. They need love and attention, correction and confirmation and even more love. Children are wonderful and I love mine--but I need to work on being a better mother to them.

  2. Love that picture! I am trying hard to make sure that I am training her now, when she is just a toddler, and mindful to continue as she grows. Thanks for sharing! Blessings!

  7. Beautiful. I have teens and they still need correction. Maybe even more so. If they don't get it from us they won't get it.

    Thanks for the great reminder.
    Happy WFW!

  8. Mine are grown and they walk with the Lord. I loved the days they were home with me. There are many things I could have done better and I have had to learn how to deal with these regrets. Enjoy these days with your children. And always remember your are training little adults

    God bless.

  9. Beautiful picture and Scripture. Nicely displayed! I think we all could improve...my prayer is that I be a good influence to the Grands whenever they are in our home. Happy WFW!

  10. I've always loved this beautiful promise from the Lord. I've seen it proven true time and time again, in the lives of families we know. Though my son is now grown, I remember the challenges of those early years. Know that I am lifting a prayer for you.

    Blessings,
    Tracy

  12. This is such a necessary and encouraging word from the scriptures. When our kids make choices that doesn't seem to be in keeping with what we've taught them from the word, this verse is one that gives us unfailing hope.

    Beautiful photo.
    Happy WFW

  15. Beautiful photo! I think we may all sell ourselves short when it comes to how good we are at mothering, but there's nothing wrong with a conviction to be better.
