If I were...
If I were a month, I’d be May, bursting with blooms after the rain.
If I were a day of the week, I’d be Sunday, relaxing with family after a soul-filling time of worship.
If I were a time of day, I’d be a moment of peace in the midst of the hustle.
If I were a planet, I’d be Saturn, wearing a halo. LoL.
If I were a sea animal, I’d be a Blue Tang like my animated hero Dory, encouraging people to just keep swimming.
If I were a direction, I’d be south with the palm trees.
If I were a piece of furniture, I'd be a rocking chair on the front porch.
If I were a liquid, I'd be lemonade, refreshing and sweetly tart.
If I were a gemstone, I'd be an opal, fire glistening from within.
If I were a tree, I’d be a palm tree sporting a hammock.
If I were a tool, I'd be a pen, writing my Owner's words.
If I were a flower, I'd be a dahlia, blooming where I was planted.
If I were a kind of weather, I’d be a gentle spring rain watering the earth.
If I were a musical instrument, I'd be a cello, mellow and deep.
If I were a color, I'd be rosey pink.
If I were an emotion, I’d be the peaceful glow from worship.
If I were a fruit, I’d be a grape, juicy and bursting with flavor.
If I were a sound, I’d be joyful praise to my Savior and Lord.
If I were an element, I’d be silver, refined to reflect my King.
If I were a car, a yellow VW bug with flowers painted on it.
If I were a food, I’d be chocolate chip cookies. 'nuf said.
If I were a place, I’d be a harbor cove.
If I were a fabric I'd be eyelet cotton. Comfy and cool.
If I were a taste, I’d be Mom's roast beef and gravy.
If I were a scent, I’d be fruity, not floral!
If I were an animal, I’d be a Golden Retriever, faithful and fun.
If I were an object, I'd be paper, waiting for words.
If I were a body part, I’d be fingers, ready and willing to work.
If I were a facial expression, I’d be a genuine smile.
If I were a pair of shoes, I’d be dancing shoes, fun with just a touch of sass.

What would you be?If you do this too, leave your link in the comments.
This is so beautiful, Patty! Mine would take some very serious thinking time, but what comes to mind the most is mountains, a majestic hawk, and the smells of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin, along with the peacefulness that comes when I think of all of them... Great post! Thanks for resurrecting it. ;-]
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shelley. This was really fun to do. I was surprised at how it made me really think, and even more surprised when I finished and read through it--it was ME in snippets. LoL.
DeleteHope you do it, too! =]
